High on BCN

The update recently has been beyond bad, I know, but I have been busy. Actually we finally took our buts out on some sightseeing trips and it was amazing.
BARCELONA IS S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G.
Here are some pics from the past days.

monday morning

I have a theory that if you believe Sunday is the first day of the week instead of Monday you wont have such a problem getting up on the Monday. Since the week, in theory, has already started. And whats also great with this theory is that you can end you week with saturday nightlife and begin your week with a delicious and long sunday breakfast. Great isn't?

However, today I think I might have believed in my theory a tab to much, because waking up 4.50 feeling wide awake can´t be right?

Freaky friday

Been watching movies all day  & been laying like a veggie in the sofa for almost 7 hours now. More or less resting my body and preparing it for the Friday night activity: Going maniac at the gym.
Me and Mariana are going to slaughter our bodies. Well that's the plan at least....

Busy in Barcelona

What a day.
1: early bird today: Alarm went of at 6am. Power-walk to gym and had GAC/ABD class at 7.15. Spent two hours in gym with my roomie Mariana which was super because the gym really nice (its called Dir Gracia) And addition to this we even got so exited and proud of ourselves that we ended up buying a gym-card for our whole stay. Ambitious? VERY.
2: Went to my first casting. Went ok but there seems to be very little work in Barcelona right now because of the economic crisis and the election next week. PANIK? yes.
3: Go see nr.1 + Marinas casting
4: Lunch and then some intense window-shopping
5: Visit to agency for some prep+prime before my next casting
6: Next casting
7: Food shopping
8: sightseeing. Finally I saw the cathedral! Huge. (and to be honest I thought it was kind of ugly)
9: Came home and collapsed in front of the movie "Midnight in Paris"

Market madness

I literary floated away today. I haven't seen so much rain in ages! But apart from this Barcelona really did deliver, not only is the town beautiful it also has the most amazing food markets. I spent two hours just strolling around in a huge marked right in the middle of Barcelona, La Rambas Market. The different smells, the different colors, the different tastes, shapes, meats, fruits, nuts....the list can go on forever. my very own heaven

barbie shock.

Editorial for Spanish mag and I was a fake kopie of Barbie. creepy.

Barcelona it is

So, today I finally arrived in rainy Barcelona. Its indeed a beautiful city! Im here with View management and they seem very professional and kind, so all good there. The apartment is fab and so are the other models staying here, so my coming weeks here are looking quite bright.

On to something totally different because today it struck me how insane the fact is that EVERYTHING seems to costs money these days. Even to enter the bloody airport they charge me 1€. The whole payment situation of this particular 1€ was really ridiculous.
I was on my way in to the airport when I suddenly came to a stand still, they were charging us 1 € just just to enter the airport. 1 € is of course nothing if you think of the over all cost of traveling, but its a hell of a lot of money if you spent your last coins on gum just a few minutes before. So there I was with no money whatsoever, not even my bankcard was working.
No cash + a non working bank card = panic situation.
So, what to do? Go up to the guard and flirt for free pass?
Nope. That didn't work.
He told me to contact my bank and pay like everyone els, or do the other alternative; leave.
Thats what I call a big fat B.A.S.T.A.R.D.

So, what I finally had to do was to go all they way back in to town and draw money from an other cash-machine (which thankfully did wonders with my bankcard) and then go back to the airport again.  However when I was going to pay for this stupid "1€ entry fee" it turned out that this machine only gave back coins in change. So when I payed with a 50€ note I got a surprise when I got back 49euros in 1€ coins.....which in the end meant 416.5 extra, very irritating, grams for me to carrie. (Apart from my 25kg suitcase, hand luggage and handbag.)

All this for just 1€.....

Work with volume!
today they used what I would call "hotdogs" to curl my hair. Never seen them before and I hope I never see them again.
They literally twisted my hair out of its roots, comfortable? no
